Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

The birth of Ava DuVernay took place on the 24th day of August, 1972 in Long Beach California. DuVernay was encouraged by her aunt Denise as a little girl. Her aunt was a nurse who stayed overnight in order to give her the chance to learn about art literature or theater. DuVernay immediately became enthralled with an old 1959 West Side Story film. DuVernay was instructed by her mom that the arts can serve to engage people. DuVernay was taught to be socially mindful from her mother. Although DuVernay lived living in Compton with her family she was a summer resident living in Lowndes County Alabama where her father's family lived for generations. The father of DuVernay's recollects seeing the historical march of the Civil Rights Movement across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. It was in Selma Alabama, a neighboring city. DuVernay toured Selma in the summer months and was motivated to make a documentary on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. DuVernay was a graduate from Saint Joseph High School Lakewood California, in 1990. In 1990, she completed her studies at Saint Joseph High School in Lakewood, California. DuVernay started producing broadcast journalism at the age of a student. She was an CBS News intern during the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay recalls being tasked to watch the home of one member of the jury and examine their junk. The work she was assigned to did not leave her satisfied with journalism so she decided to shift her focus towards the field of publicity. DuVernay was hired straight out of college as an assistant publicist in the studio that was small. In this role, she launched her own public relations company known as The DuVernay Agency in 1999. She also started several lifestyles and promotion networks such as Urban Beauty Collective. Urban Eye, HelloBeautiful, and Urban Thought Collective. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley is born with the birth astrological sign. Autumn Riley is an American actress who is famous as the actress in American Experience (1997) and A More Perfect Union (2009). Autumn played Rose as Rose in A More Perfect Union, and Anna Payne in American Experience.

Born in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Amy Carlson spent most of her childhood in the Chicago region. However, at the time Amy was in high school her family also resided in the Middle East where her parents, Bob and Barb, taught at the American School.
