Boettcher was acting since she was just four years old, became well-known for her role as Melody Fuller on the Amazon Studios Original Series Gortimer's Life on Normal Street. She then gained more recognition when she voiced several characters including rats and bears in the famous animated comedy Ernest & Celestine which starred Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson & Pauline Brunner. The film was awarded 14 of the 29 awards that it was nominated, which included an Oscar.
