In the year 2011, Ashley was cast to portray Jessica Finch in the family comedy Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer and was recognized in 2012, when she was cast to voice several bears and rats in the hit animated adventure comedy Ernest & Celestine which starred Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson and Pauline Brunner and follows the friendship between Ernest the bear and Celestine the mouse. The film was awarded 14 of the 29 nominations it received, which included an Oscar.
