Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American celebrity chef on television as well as a former teacher in the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef along with being the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature spiky blond locks and pumped to the max, shares simple techniques that anyone can be able to master. Chef Burrell had a job at the top New York restaurants and studied the Italian culinary traditions and landscape. Also, she was a contestant in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was fascinated by food. After obtaining an English as well as Communications degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she started to pursue her passion for the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. She says "I loved being a Culinary Institute Of America student. I was awed by every minute." It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. After graduating, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. Her understanding grew of Italian culture and cuisine during her stay in Italy and this has affected her culinary style. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children's lives who have challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she promotes youth diabetes awareness. Burrell travels extensively across the United States in her position as both a mentor and the guest speaker who discusses her career and love of cooking. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate that I could communicate her love of cooking to the people around her.

Born in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Amy Carlson spent most of her childhood in the Chicago region. However, at the time Amy was in high school her family also resided in the Middle East where her parents, Bob and Barb, taught at the American School. Amy is the older sister of Betsy, Lori, and brother Joe. Amy has traveled across Europe with her family as well as alone. Her parents were teachers so they had the opportunity to spend their summers camping together and travel all across the United States. They've camped in every US state, with the exception of Alaska. Rosie Perez was the daughter of Lydia Perez, a merchant marine and Ismael Serano. She was born in Bushwick Brooklyn, New York City. Rosie is of Puerto Rican descent.
