Emily Irene VanCamp, who initially wanted to become a professional dancer, grew attracted to acting when she hung out with her sibling Katie on the Ladies Room set. As she began taking acting courses, Emily Irene VanCamp was also able to get guest roles in television shows across Canada. She was on, among other shows, in the series Are You Scared of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp made a breakthrough in his career when he was cast in the WB horror-mystery show Glory Days as Sam Dolan. The show was cancelled after nine episodes despite receiving good ratings. The actress who was born on May 12, 1986, was quickly offered another role in Everwood. The role she played was Amy Abbott. The role resulted in her being named the Young Artist Award nominee and for four Teen Choice Awards.
